Congratulations to MCC-Longview student Danise Harris!
Harris on Friday won $5,000 at the first Lee's Summit's Got Talent competition hosted by Lee's Summit Cares.
Competitors from around the city brought their top musical talent to the stage Friday night as residents tried to perform their best for top prize.
Harris wowed the panel of judges with her version of "I am changing" - a song made popular in the 1982 musical Dreamgirls.
