Random Acts of Kindness awards at MCC-Blue River

Several MCC-Blue River employees and a student were honored today for their kind hearts. The Random Acts of Kindness awards are given to employees whom are nominated by their peers for going the extra mile or doing something nice for no personal gain.

Those at MCC-Blue River whom were unexpectedly rewarded for their acts of altruism today were: Rowdy Pyle, Meg Holcomb, Jay Imhauser, Scorpio Horn, Bob Florence, Renee’ Tolson, Amy Slater, and student worker Tina Livingston.

On October 5, MCC-Blue River president Dr. Joe Seabrooks, gave the gift of surprise to several unsuspecting faculty and staffers. It was all part of the campus’ “Random Acts of Kindness” campaign designed to build morale and acknowledge the good things people do on campus.

Dr. Seabrooks, and staff association president Sara Woodward, walked excitedly around campus seeking the winners of the award. Seabrooks praised each recipient for their team spirit and thanked them individually for contributing positively to the Blue River culture.
