MCC-Maple Woods recently hosted its annual Brain Drain trivia competition - 25 teams competed for cerebral supremacy in categories ranging from art to history to science to the brain-busting potpourri round. Maple Woods' Social Science-Business division has been hosting Brain Drain on the first Tuesday of December for the past 12 years.

MCC-Maple Woods still looking for brains to drain!
Looking for an opportunity to showcase your impressive Trivial Pursuit skills? Want to impress your significant other? Movie buffs, bookworms, artists, sports aficionados, know-it-alls and everyone else are needed to participate in Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods’ 12th Annual Brain Drain trivia contest, to be held Dec. 7 from 7-10 p.m. in the Campus Center Arbor Room. Teams should consist of 3-5 people and there is space for up to 30 teams. There is no entry fee, but registration is required by calling (816) 604-3210 or emailing connie.stockmyer@mcckc.edu.
Brain Drain, sponsored by MCC-Maple Woods’ Social Science-Business Division, is a question-and-answer contest. Teams will be quizzed on topics such as history, science, sports, current events, literature, movies, television, art, music and more. Teams will be given points for correct answers on a round-by-round basis and prizes will be awarded to the four teams with the highest scores.
