Job fair at MCC-Penn Valley attracts more than 800
More than 800 students and community members attended the Employment Guide Job Fair at MCC-Penn Valley on Wednesday. The event represented the third job fair hosted at the campus during March.
"As always, we could not put on this event without the help of Jon Hopkins, Emit Bowman, Kelly Price, and the facilities staff members," says Melanie Bowman, student employment services coordinator. "Gary Wilson and the MCC police officers go above and beyond to help us assist visitors to Penn Valley."
Kudos were also given to Robin Harris and student workers who held down the fort in the Career Center during the event.

MCC-Longview Express Job Fair: connecting students with new opportunities
Express Job Fair brought close to a dozen employers to campus giving students the opportunity to interview and apply to various jobs from around the KC area.
Along with employers, William Jewell University and the University of Central Missouri were also there offering information to students who were looking to transfer after completing their two years at MCC-Longview.
"We had such a great turnout," student employment services coordinator Linda Anderson said. "It's great to see so many students engaged with these companies here. It shows they are already starting to look ahead."
The Express Job Fair also offered mock interviews and resume reviews that helped students craft a professional image as they continue to look for work after college.
