“GRrrrrr.”
“Shoot!”
“The mouse doesn’t…”
These are but a few of the murmurs that came from Boy Scout Troop 314 as they created a computer-aided drawing of a house – just one of seven steps this group of young men must complete to earn their drafting merit badges.
Instructor Chris Page walked the Scouts, ages 11 to 15, through the creation of a ranch-style home floor plan. Although some of the tools and commands of the CAD program were new to the troop, within about 30 minutes of starting everyone was beginning to see a house take shape.
This coming weekend, Troop 314 will check the last few tasks off their merit badge list. Leaders from the troop will hold a Boy Scout Lock-in at Platte Woods Methodist Church.

The boy scouts really enjoyed the AutoCAD session - we were so lucky to find MCC-B&T to help us out with completing the CAD requirement for the Drafting Merit Badge. Mr. Allyn and Mr. Page were a true pleasure to work with.
