VIDEO: ACED Graduation at MCC-Longview
A little late getting this video posted, but watching it you will understand just how important the ACED program has become to its students, their parents and the many people who help make this program great.
Thank to MCC-Longview ACED coordinator Amanda Jeffries for letting us spend the day with ACED and anointing us to this spectacular graduation ceremony.
Adult Continuing Education for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (ACED) offers adults the opportunity to attend non-credit classes in an educational and social environment.
The ACED program is designed to teach independent living skills and provide life-enhancing experiences. ACED is offered by the UMKC Institute for Human Development, a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, Metropolitan Community College-Longview and Metropolitan Community College-Blue River, with funding from the Developmental Disability Services of Jackson County~EITAS.
Sign up for ACED or look for next semester's schedule here.
The music in the background was provided by one of ACED students taking music classes.
