Today, MCC-Blue River, in connection with the Community Blood Bank of Kansas City, hosted a blood drive in the Arts and Science’s Gymnasium. The drive started at 9:00 a.m. and registration concluded at 1:00 p.m.Holly Casares, with the Community Blood Bank, marked today’s drive a success. She went on to say enthusiastically that “we’ve had 38 donors!” In fact, as the drive ended, potential donors were still steaming into the gym.
Today's effort was organized by David Owens, Blue River’s fitness, recreation, and athletic programs coordinator. The drives have historically been conducted each semester. Be sure to watch Blue River’s Facebook page for more upcoming dates and times to donate.
